When I talk to people here in the USA about the Netherlands or me being Dutch, they’ve been in Amsterdam once or they know someone….from Denmark. Which is kinda close, right? Sometimes we talk about the language and the beautiful flowers. Mieke and I found some super cute flower crafts for you and your kids to make outside or inside during this spring season!

1. Mieke’s Tulips
Coming shortly
2. Tulip stamps
This is definitely one of my favorite flower crafts to make with small kids and it actually doesn’t matter if the stamps don’t turn into tulips…or any other flower! Just the stamping part is fun!!!
Toilet paper rolls
Scissors
Paint brush
Paint
Shallow dishes
Card stock
Skewer
Spread paint out on the shallow dishes. Cut paper rolls into rings. Pinch each ring one time. Place the ring with one edge into the paint and stamp it carefully on the paper. Stamp 3 or 4 times to make a tulip. Use the skewer to stamp a stem under the tulip. Pinch a paper roll ring on 2 sides to shape it into a leaf.
Now go and make those tulips!!!
3. Easy Daisies
Another easy flower craft for little ones. With a little help cutting 2 yellow circles and some strips of white paper, let your child do the trick of carefully bending the strips into petals. They can make a whole bouquet!!!
4. Heart Flowers
A great trick to make equal side hearts, is to fold the paper in half and cut half of a heart. You could draw first and the kids can cut them out. Our youngest was amazed when she opened the paper and it was a heart! Oh, and do you want to make a craft together with your child, here is a craft for you!
5. Cherry Blossom stamp
I love to use things that are in and around the house to make crafts. This one is very easy to make and it is beautiful! The only thing you need is some paint, the bottom of a plastic bottle (flower shape), a paint brush and a Q-tip. Dip the bottom of the bottle in paint and stamp!!
6. Tulip Mother’s Day Card
Spring means Mother’s Day and Mother’s Day means flowers in a pot…. made into a card!
7. Pressed Flower Lantern
I thought these were wonderful. I’m just imagining ourselves in the evening outside eating dinner at our picnic tables with these beautiful lanterns. So pretty! Hang them up or put them on the table.
8. Paper Roll Flowers
It’ll be fun to make a few of them and put them on the window sill. Hello spring!!!! Click the picture or source link above to find out how to make these!
9. Bubble Paint Flowers
I would do this outside. Just to be sure. It looks like a lot of fun to make them and they look beautiful. Definitely my favorite flowers….besides lilacs….and tulips!
10. Origami Tulips
This is for older kids who like to make all kinds of things with this origami folding technique. For Mother’s Day? Yes please!
