1. Embroidery Hoop Flower Wreath

With our home improvement projects in full swing, we decided to take it a little slower on the kitchen/dining room project. It will be the biggest project of the house. There are 2 small windows and a bigger window in the dining area. I was thinking of all the possibilities what to do with the windows, like painting the trims white, a shiplap wall on the windows side and some window coverings (I’m not sure what yet). Then I was thinking to make some kind of spring decoration for the windows. These cute embroidery hoop spring wreaths will be the perfect touch. I think I’m going to use this craft also for my (virtual) Craft Party with friends!

Flower crafts

For this craft I got a 10″ embroidery hoop, twine, realistic flowers spring mix, wire cutter, green flower wire and I made the pink flower out of coffee filters.

  1. Color the edges of 5 coffee filters with water based markers. Carefully brush water over the marker so the pink will bleed throughout the coffee filter. Let dry!
  2. Wrap the twine around the embroidery hoop and make a loop with the beginning and the end, so you can hang the wreath up later on.
  3. Cut the flowers in smaller pieces and arrange them on the wreath.
  4. Wrap around with green flower wire.
  5. Fold the filters in quarters and cut scalloped edges. Open the filters and lay all 5 on top of each other. Take the middle of all filters and shape them into a flower. Add the flower to the wreath.

2. Make Pine cones into flowers

Did you collect a ton of pine cones last year? I did, but they were mainly those long shaped ones. If you happen to have the smaller ones, you can make this beautiful craft, where the cones look like flowers. Some people decorate them in a bowl, make a wreath, some people glue them on a canvas. Choose some beautiful matching colors and craft AWAY!!!

Oh, and don’t forget to clean them before using them in a craft. Here is how you can clean and paint them.

3. Dried flower candle

I think this craft would be a beautiful gift. Hmmm, now I think about it, I might add it to my Teacher Appreciation Gifts! And definitely adding essential oils to it! One of my favorite Flower Crafts.

4. Felt Flower garland

This is such a beautiful and diverse flower craft. You can use it a spring decoration, in the baby room, at a birthday party. The only thing I need to find are beautiful colors felt. I think you can find some beautiful felt here.

5. Heart flowers on a canvas

Remember the kids craft where we made flowers out of hearts? Here is a craft you could do at the same time!

6. Paper Succulents

And I didn’t want to forget these beautiful succulents I made last year. You can read all about it here!

7. Flower Petal Votives

It is always sad to see flowers go. And especially here in the USA, bouquets are not cheap. So you might want to get the most out of them. Dry petals and small flowers in wax paper in books for a few weeks. Use them up for this craft.
