Years ago I was browsing through Etsy.com to find all kinds of amazing things to craft with, like fabric, drawer handles, macramé cord. It made me realize that there is way more out there, than my main sources for craft materials. This blog post is dedicated to all the mothers out there! HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! May your day…and actually the rest of the days…be filled with LOVE! But who doesn’t like gorgeous Mother’s Day Gifts and in this case, from Etsy created by talented Dutch Artists. Give them some extra support during these challenging times!

1. Infinity Symbol Bracelet

What: Infinity Silver Cuff Bracelet
Handmade with leftover acrylic paint, from her acrylic pouring paintings.
It’s locked in place with UV resin, which gives it a beautiful dome effect!
The bracelet is a cuff bracelet, so it’s a one size fits all. It’s adult sizing (I’m posing with the bracelet myself in de pictures). So it would be to big for small children.
My opinion: I love that this artist is using all kinds of materials and even the Dutch Pour (A Dutch pour is an acrylic pouring technique that uses air to manipulate the paints on a canvas. You can use a hair dryer, straw and lungs, or anything that blows air to make a Dutch pour. Dutch pours are known for the ribbon like edges and cell lacing that can be achieved using the technique.) The simple shapes and the explosion of colors are just incredible.
2. Dumpling Coin Wallet

What: A fabric dumpling coin wallet.
My opinion: A few years ago I was thinking about making these, but I couldn’t find any cute looking clips for this kind of coin wallet. I think it was even before I knew about Etsy. But this was exactly how I wanted to make them. With cute and fresh Dutch looking fabric. I might buy one of these just to keep change for toll roads, Aldi carts and the car wash. So fun!
3. Elegant Ring

What: Silver ring
My opinion: To compliment the bracelet under Mother’s Day Gift #1, this is just a beautiful ring to wear in day to day life. Personally I only wear my wedding band, because I was always busy with babies, young kids, house work, crafts. I didn’t want to hurt anyone with big fancy rings and I didn’t want to damage the ring either. But this ring looks very sturdy and at the same time convenient and beautiful! Yes, please!
4. Garland

What: Garland with flowers and Swans (104 inches)
My opinion: This might be a very Dutch thing, but on someone’s birthday, beautiful garlands are hung throughout the living room and lots of times the chair of the birthday boy or girl is decorated as well. My parents brought me garlands from the Netherlands and my American friends were just in awe! This garland just brings it to another level! The color scheme is beautiful and it is all hand made!
5. Unique Key Chain

What: Wooden Key Chain
My opinion: What a super cute and unique idea. All the puzzle pieces fit together as a puzzle, one family, one team! I love this idea. Everyone has their own name on the puzzle piece. I would definitely get it when my kids are older and get their own keys. This could be one of my favorite Mother’s Day Gifts of this list.
PS: without me knowing (uh, yes I knew), my husband bought me this key chain for everyone in our family of 5! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO MEEEEEEE.
6. Hand painted scarf

What: Hand painted Scarf
My opinion: This scarf is made with plant based dyes, which is a big plus. Where I currently work, we hand dye garments too and I know how hard it is to get the colors and placement of the color right. It looks like “Delfts Blauw” and I think that is a big reason I like it so much!
7. ChangMai wall hanging

My opinion: I thought that my wall hanging macramé piece was pretty amazing, but I love this wall hanging with the extra stenciled metal piece. A very unique and creative art piece!
8. Stained Glass Window decoration

What: Stained Glass Window decoration
My opinion: Personally these are my favorite colors. I just love the teal with the golden amber. The shape is unique and modern and I cannot wait to see how the sunlight will shine through this beautiful piece.
9. Candle in a Mug

What: Beautiful enamel mugs made into candle holders. Soy wax and they smell like Lilies of the Valley.
My opinion: I made cups with saucers into candles few years ago, but they never smelled nice. The cool thing about this is, that you keep a beautiful mug after you used the candle.
